Transport & Dock Workers' Union,Mumbai, leaded by Com.S.R.Kulkarni, President, National Union of Safarers of India, leaded by Com.Abdul Gani Sarang,Gen.Secretary & Maritime Union of India, leaded by Com. S.S. Khan are the best example of maritime solidarity!!
Women's wing of TDWU, Youth Wing of NUSI, office bearers of MUI along with Com. Kersi Parekh, ITF Inspector , Ms. Kalpana Desai, POC Cordinator India and ITF Peers Educators of HIV/AIDS Units are under the able leadership of respective unions leaders guidance organising FOC Campaign, World AIDS Day and Education programme for seafarers and dockers regularly for past many years. I have observed due to women's participation on Board during FOC Campagin and World AIDS Day, encouraged seafaers to open up in well discipline manner. Being a POC Cordinator recently have involved the GNT's issues in education classess conducted by Central Board of Workers' Education in last week, delivered lecture on this issue for the first time and it was very much appreciated by dockers.
